SYDNEY'S Balmoral Beach will be the backdrop for an event that will showcase Hunter Valley food and wine.
Hunter Uncorked promises to be an unforgettable day for the 5000 people tipped to attend. The event on November 4, organised by the Hunter Valley Vineyard Association, will feature Hunter Valley food and wine from 16 wineries, including Brokenwood, Allandale, Deluliis, Tulloch, Scarborough, Tyrrell's and Littledale Wines. Six Hunter and Mosman restaurants, such as The Cellar and Lazzarini's, will take part with stalls showcasing Hunter Valley cheeses, olives and other culinary delights. "Visitors will love relaxing in the sun by the sea while sipping on a fabulous glass of Hunter Valley wine, tasting delicious local food and enjoying live music," Hunter Valley Vineyard Association business development general manager Rowena Hawkins said. Hunter Uncorked is the final event on the Mosman Festival Calendar for 2007 and promises to follow the successful Lovedale Long Lunch at Balmoral last year, which drew more than 10,000 people. Hunter Valley Vineyard Association secretary and Tulloch Wines general manager Christina Tulloch said the event would be great for the region."This will be a great opportunity for members of the association to take their wines to the audience rather than them coming up here to the Hunter," she said.
