Work with architects and designers; sign on distributors and agents etc. You will need to be able to carry chairs and leave samples with designers and end users. A step up for someone working in furniture sales.

Rugs and carpets: Focus on high end residential and boutique hospitality. Contemporary range of rugs and carpets, ideal for someone with contacts in the decorative or textiles area, who wants to present something different. Very stable company with low staff turnover.

Fabrics and textiles: Large company with a wide range of product servicing hospitality, commercial, and domestic markets nationwide. Calling upon a variety of designers and architects, with a focus on hospitality.

And something different -

An up and coming project management and fitout construction management company is looking for a person with experience in the A&D sector. We want someone to present their company to the leading interior designers in retail, hospitality and commecial spaces in Sydney, and interstate. You dont need to know about construction project mangement in detail - we are looking for someone who has solid relationships and integrity with your contacts in interior design, someone who can act as an account manager and mascot for this firm. These positions have higher earnings potential that normal A&D representive positions, and they do involve more detailed and hands on exposure to managing people and projects as they are delivered. So some visits to site are required.

An Average Day at Work:

* On the road most of the time visiting your contacts in design – talking to them about upcoming projects, looking at opportunities for your product with those projects
* Making boardroom presentations to design firms and corporate clients
* Delivering samples
* Inviting designers to visit your showroom
* Handling inquiries from end users
* Working with sales support to put proposals and orders through the system
* Working on key marketing initiatives to build brand recognition – and sales
* Following specifications with builders and project managers etc.

About You:

* Exceptional presentation and visual communication skills
* Great relationship and account management experience
* A network in selling into the A&D market in NSW
