This is an opportunity to join one of Australia\'s leading telecommunications providers at their North Ryde facility. This is a night shift role. The successful candidate will be responsible for carry out Motorolla grooming activities on the Cable COMM network.

Job duties include;

• Performing Motorola CableComm node grooming activities
• Liaising with other fixer groups including NMC Switch Services, Field, Exchanges, Tier 2, Engineering, CSAG and Vendors when faults occur due to planned node groom activities
• Facilitating and managing the implementation of network change
• Resolution of network faults within agreed timeframes
• Completion of Node groom schedule as per timelines
• Escalation of faults that meet escalation criteria
• Clear communication of Major Outages to customers and to the business
• Continuous life cycle improvements to documentation, processes and network management tools
• Control of planned network changes without detriment to network or services

To be considered for the role you will need;

• An appropriate tertiary qualification in Telecommunications, Electronics or IT
• Experience in the operation, maintenance and analysis of Motorola CableCOMM equipment and in particular node grooming
• The ability to plan, organise and manage own work and the work of others if necessary
• High level of computer skills
• Excellent analytical skills
• Effective and efficient verbal and written communication with others
