Dispatch Modular Supervisor
Mount Thorley Warkworth is a large, technically challenging, multi-seam open cut coal mining operation utilising dragline and truck and shovel methods. In the heart of the Hunter Valley and one hour from the coastal city of Newcastle, the location offers an outstanding lifestyle and high quality health, schooling and housing facilities.
Our Mining department is comprised of four (4) output teams - Shovels; Coal and Partings; Dragline, Drill and Blast; and Mining Support - each lead by their respective Superintendent. The Mining department is accountable for the processes associated with uncovering the mining coal.
We are seeking 4 x Dispatch Modular Supervisor to run the Mining Fleet Management System, with the aim of optimising the mining production through equipment utilisation, monitoring and implementation of best action principles in accordance with Rio Tinto Coal Australia strategies and policies.
The key focus of these roles is to ensure that mine equipment performance and availability data collected by Dispatch is of the highest possible standard. This is achieved by ensuring optimal truck allocation, checking data quality, directing operators to ensure Dispatch accurately reflects their position in the mining cycle and maintaining all equipment status events as supplied by Operators and Supervisors.

Supervisory experience is required, ideally in the mining industry, and previous experience with data maintenance in Dispatch is essential. - Ensuring the current loading units priorities are understood and adhered to
- Monitoring equipment performance and communicating leverage points for the site
- Ensuring that data integrity is maintained
- Assisting in validating all support equipment data from your crew
- Processing any error logs created from MinVu Reporting System
- Alignment of recurring delays to minimize production impacts.
- Managing the crib relief process
- Training personnel on the use of Dispatch
